Hikaru (Ragnarok TWILIGHT Ep. 2)
Today just flew by really fast, as soon as I got here. I did more reading then drawing (and, if you've seen the twitter/twitpic feed on the AP hub, just looking out the window because it's a really nice view from up here), but that's okay. I'ma see if I can just do this every Tuesday.

One minor point of annoyance, though... I get that libraries and such would use filters. But why, WHY is Ayarane Project blocked and considered a Malicious Site? ;_; Even weirder is that this only affects the hub: the Ramen subdomain still works. WTF. This just means that I'll have to, er, wait until I get home to reverse-tag any entries I make, blah. I wonder if there's a way to petition Websense to get me unblocked, it's just silly to tell my spaceship to GTFO. :( I have pictures of KITTIES, for smoo's sake.

Anyway, time to pack up Dinah... once I get home, need to crack open Blastoise and put in his Blu-ray drive. About freaking time. :P

Probably works on the "trusted" domain system vs the "block the ones that turn out to be untrusted."

What does "trusted domain system" mean?

Networks and websites that are commonly used and known to be safe (Yahoo, google, msn, etc). If the network admin hasn't allowed the domain, then it is blocked.

Enter the extremely bizarre:

They blocked the primary Ayarane Project domain (www.layer-infinity.net), but left the Instant Ramen subdomain (ramen.layer-infinity.net) alone. If there is anything worthy of being thrown in the filter, it would sadly be in Instant Ramen because of the more fan service-y pieces.

Still, you would think that if they wanted to block Ayarane Project, they would have been wise to block ALL of it and not just the blog? o.O

And... Malicious Data. WTF! It's a freaking blog. What part of that translates to "Arr, I is dangerous haxor that will destroy your internets!?" >:(

Eh, I donno. Maybe it's keyword driven?

Online filters sometimes block out the most random things. I remember back in high school that the school computers blocked my favorite animation news site (Toonzone.net) even though Toonzone is extremely vigilant about keeping bad content/language off their website and messageboards.
.......however, I later found out by accident that if you typed Toonzone.COM into your browser you get automatically sent to a porn site. So that's probably why the clean Toonzone got filtered out. ^_^;;

But I'm surprised that the public library blocked your website. I'm always hearing stories about the ACLU raising hell when a public library puts ANY internet filters on their computers (even if its only there to block child porn). So I wasn't sure if libraries these days even had them anymore.

The internet is for poooorn~

*ahem*

I actually went poking around Websense to see if there was any way I could petition myself to get unblocked. Aaaand... it's like they've never heard of such an idea. Booo.
